Accountant/Bookkeeper
The Payroll Company's Professional Staffing division in Middleton, WI is recruiting for an exciting career opportunity. Our client located in the Madison area is seeking an experienced Accountant for a perm, fully benefited position at their manufacturing facility.
This position accounts for financial transactions using established chart of accounts and bookkeeping policies and procedures. The associate verifies and posts transactions; balances cash; prepares reconciling journal entries; compiles biweekly payroll information and submits electronically to external processor and manages associated HR-related files; prepares/reviews financial statements for completeness and correctness; organizes and submits to outside CPA firm information required for year-end tax reporting; maintains historical records by keeping accurate electronic and paper filing systems; and contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and as directed by manager.
A successful candidate will be experience with the following skillset:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel; transferrable knowledge of other related software considered.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability and desire to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism and with a service-minded demeanor.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Prefer prior experience in Manufacturing and BOM.
